Description
A quick and easy baked salmon recipe topped with creamy, garlicky Boursin cheese and fresh herbs, perfect for a flavorful and healthy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 skin-on salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each)
- 4 oz (about 115 g) garlic & herb Boursin cheese
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (for drizzling before serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine Boursin cheese, lemon zest, chopped parsley, minced garlic, olive oil, and smoked paprika if using. Mix until evenly incorporated.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spread the Boursin mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until salmon flakes easily with a fork and topping is slightly golden but still creamy.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 2-3 minutes.
- Drizzle fresh lemon juice over the top just before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature salmon for even cooking. Pat salmon dry before seasoning to help the topping stick. Avoid overbaking to keep salmon moist. Drizzle fresh lemon juice before serving to balance richness. For thicker fillets, tent loosely with foil after baking to prevent topping browning.
