Description

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 50g)
  • Optional: sharp cheddar cheese or grated Parmesan for extra flavor
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to distribute the garlic evenly.
  2. Lay tortillas flat and spread a thin, even layer of garlic butter on one side of each tortilla.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic butter side. Add cheddar or Parmesan if desired.
  4. Fold each tortilla in half to form a half-moon shape or cut into quarters for bite-sized pieces.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Place the prepared tortillas in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Watch closely after 5 minutes to avoid burning.
  8. Remove from air fryer and sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional red pepper flakes.
  9. Serve warm immediately for best melty cheese and crispy texture.

Notes

If tortillas aren’t crisping enough, increase temperature by 10°F or add 1-2 minutes cooking time. Avoid overfilling with cheese to prevent sogginess. Flip halfway for even browning. For dairy-free, use vegan butter and cheese alternatives. For gluten-free, use corn tortillas.
